Lanark Christmas Markets
Volunteers from Scotland's Festival of History also organise Scotland's largest continental style
Christmas Market, traditionally held on the third Saturday of November.
The town's broad High Street is closed off for the day and is taken over
by almost 100 stall holders, heritage children's fairground, entertainers
and Santa Claus.

The 2005-2009 events attracted more than 13,000 visitors with stall holders
from across Scotland and northern England. On sale were specialist foods,
drink, crafts and gifts not just from Scotland but also from four continents.
The fairground included a restored 1947 Carousel and a ferris wheel, while
Santa arrived in a sleigh pulled by reindeer.

The 2012 market is on Saturday, November 17th, and those interested in
trading opportunities, or wishing further information, should contact
